Board Fabrication
Congratulations on completing your board! The next step is fabrication. Fabrication can be as cheap or as expensive as you want. It all depends on turn time and the board requirements. Turn time is the amount of time that a fabrication house takes to create the board. If you are willing to wait two weeks and use a 2-layer 62 mil board, it will be extremely cheap (~$5 per square inch). If you need a custom sized board with 6 layers and a 2 day turn time, it will be tens of thousands of dollars.
For those of you who are willing to wait and use a standard sized board (I am in this crowd most of the time), I recommend a company called Osh Park. Osh Park is an aggregator that combines multiple boards from users onto a single panel and then fabricates the panel in China. Upon return to the US, they cut up the panels and ship you your PCB. The turn time is usually about 2 weeks for 2 layer boards and they only do 62 mil PCB thickness. The cost is only $5 per square inch for 3 boards. To submit a PCB, simply submit your Gerber files or an EAGLE .brd file. Osh Park also offers 4 layer boards as well that have 2 to 3 weeks of turn time. Check out here for more details.
For students with larger boards, Advanced Circuits offers great student deals with $33 2-layer boards and $66 4-layer boards. In addition, if you need a faster turn time or custom board stack ups.
